Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
